Tea and Sympathy – Gentle Therapy

I believe there is no “one size fits all,” so we have various strategies and techniques and can decide together what works for you.

We’ll start with finding out what is troubling you at the moment, giving you time to talk things through at your pace. Then we discuss how we might work together and come up with some ideas for you to try.

About me

I have been a qualified Clinical Psychologist since 1994, starting in the NHS with patients facing severe mental health issues. I then worked with Health and Community Mental Health teams and spent 15 years as an award winning and published Pain Specialist Clinical Psychologist at UHBristol NHS Trust. I have also worked privately with various clients, and when Covid-19 emerged, I was among the first Clinical Psychologists addressing Long Covid at North Bristol (NHS) Trust, which included work with ME/Chronic Fatigue. I am trained in CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy,) DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy,) ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy,)Humanistic counselling and mindfulness techniques (and other approaches) and I am regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). My interests include music (I play the Ukulele), singing, keeping active, upholstery and other creative activities.
